Founded by artist and activist Judi, our mission is to create space for meaningful connection, spiritual awakening, and peaceful change through creative expression.

Judi Weisbart has spent her life listening to the voice within—a voice that urges her to create, to speak out, and to be the change she wishes to see in the world. Through her work in stone, bronze, ceramics, wood, glass, and assemblage, she has told stories of justice, beauty, and truth. But her art has never been just about the material—it’s always been about the message.

Her belief is simple, yet profound: Art is a language of the soul, and when shared with intention, it becomes a bridge between people, cultures, and causes. At the heart of her vision is the understanding that real transformation doesn’t happen in isolation. It happens together—in community, in collaboration, in conversation.

Birth of Reason is more than a platform. It is a sacred space for humans across the world to gather around a shared vision: to raise each other up, to honor truth, to spark light in the darkest places, and to live as conscious creators of a more compassionate world. The emblem we wear is a symbol of this shared purpose—a reminder that every voice, every story, every step toward love matters.

This movement is not about perfection—it is about presence. It is about listening. It is about choosing peace, even when it is the harder path. And it is about recognizing that we are all human beings on one small planet in a universe of infinite energy.

Why Birth of Reason?

**History of The Birth of Reason Symbol**

The conception of the Birth of Reason symbol began at the Global Women’s Peace Initiative at the United Nations in Geneva in 2002. Judi was deeply inspired by her experience there and returned home to create the original Birth of Reason Egg Necklace. After producing a mold and finding the right manufacturer, she began distributing them in 2003.

Though years have passed since its first circulation, many still wear and cherish this powerful symbol—especially now, in a time of uncertainty and political upheaval. The Egg Necklace serves as a reminder that we are all co-creators of this earth—and that the nurturing force of women lies at the heart of that creation.

Worn by individuals around the world, this symbol began as a tribute to women’s wisdom, strength, and intuition—but it now calls on everyone, regardless of gender, to stand together in the spirit of unity, compassion, and conscious co-creation.

It has been worn by hundreds of remarkable women, including Linda Gray, Eve Ensler, Susan Sarandon, Sister Helen Prejean, Sara Miller McCune, Patty DeDominic, Anita Roddick, Jane Goodall, Betty Hatch, Zainab Salbi, Mae Chee Sansanee, Elisabet Sahtouris, Barbara Marx Hubbard, Nancy Pelosi, and Diane Meyer Simon—just to name a few.

Judi Weisbart

Artist & Executive Producer
Judi creates art that promotes peace, justice, compassion, and beauty—sparking emotional connection and inspiring change. Her work has been exhibited at venues including the Santa Barbara Art Association, Karpeles Manuscript Museum, and UCSB Women’s Center. A mentor and community connector, Judi empowers emerging voices and supports local initiatives through her deep engagement with nonprofits and advocacy networks.

Belle Hahn

Host & Co-Producer
Belle is an artist, mother of two, and dedicated philanthropist. Her creative journey—rooted in early healing and inspired by nature, fashion, and color—led her to co-found the Twin Hearts Foundation, supporting the arts and regenerative agriculture. As a Garden Ambassador at Lotusland, she fosters meaningful collaboration. Through motherhood, art, and service, Belle honors the belief that beauty can grow from hardship, and love can lead to lasting impact.

Kate Carter

Founder & Executive Director, LifeChronicles, Inc.
Kate’s life uniquely prepared her to found LifeChronicles. A background in video production and a personal health crisis as a young mother shaped her passion for helping families facing serious illness. What began as a project to support a dying friend became a nonprofit that has served over 2,000 families in 440 cities across 41 U.S. states, the UK, and Canada. For Kate, LifeChronicles is more than a calling—it’s a convergence of passion, purpose, and profound impact.
Jim Knowlton

Jim Knowlton is a director of photography and award-winning documentary filmmaker whose work highlights human connection, cultural diversity, and the natural world. As owner and executive producer of Blue Ocean Productions in Ventura, CA, he creates digital media that helps companies tell their stories. Known for his patience, creativity, and collaborative spirit, Jim has filmed in remote communities and worked with global conservation efforts. Through Birth of Reason, he helps bring art and urgent global conversations to life, inspiring the next generation to see that meaningful change is possible.
Bio Monie Photography

Director of Photography
Monie earned her BA in Photographic Arts from Brooks Institute and ran a photography studio in downtown Santa Barbara for over 25 years. Now based in the Funk Zone, she specializes in capturing people, events, and celebrations with a photojournalistic style that highlights authentic, collaborative storytelling. Outside of photography, Monie enjoys beach runs with her dog Kona, exploring national parks with her family, and visiting art galleries.
Bianca Dukesherer

Director of Marketing
Bianca holds a Master’s in Global Communications and Development from the American University of Paris, with a focus in documentary film. Based in Honolulu, she runs two businesses—one in social media marketing and web design, and the other in travel photography. With over six years of experience in marketing, Bianca has collaborated with purpose-driven clients to amplify their impact. A passionate traveler, she has explored 40 countries, bringing a global perspective and creativity to every project.
Ciara Barnes

Executive Assistant
Ciara is the founder of HeartShine, a women’s empowerment organization she launched in high school. A passionate public speaker, lifelong creative, and avid dancer, she channels storytelling, movement, and community-building to uplift others. Ciara is committed to fostering compassion and connection, and is honored to be part of the Birth of Reason project alongside her mentor and friend, Judi Weisbart.
